Mike Belangia- Tennis Director

Mike Belangia has been the City tennis director for Greensboro for over 23 years. During that time his organization has run more than 600 tournaments including national and state championships. In 2001 he formed the Greensboro Tennis Program, one of the top junior training programs in the southeast.

GTP is committed to providing opportunities for all kids in Greensboro to grow on and off the court. Mike has been fortunate enough to work with some the top pros in North Carolina history including Jim winstead, Henry Hostetler and Jim Haslam.

Tony Mule- Junior Director/Head Pro

Tony Mule is a USTA High Performance coach.  Before coming to GTP Tony was the head pro at Green Valley Swim and Tennis.  There he helped numerous players receive Div 1 scholarships.  In his college career Tony played #1 at UNCG.  While at GTP Tony has established himself as one of the top junior instructors in the nation.

Jimmy Roueche- Academy Coach

Jimmy started tennis when he was 13 years old. He played three years at Grimsley High School and was ranked top 20 in the state in 16’s and 18’s and top 50 in the southern region. He then went on to be a member of the UNCG Men’s Tennis team for four years.

            Jimmy started at GTP right after college and has been working here for three years. He has been working in the tennis academy for two years and travels to tournaments all over the south with the kids. He also coaches the 4:30 afternoon high school group. He also works with some adults and teaches adult clinic for GTP.

Kyle Gatti- Junior Elite Director

Kyle was a member of the Union Pines High School tennis team for four years and served as captain his senior year. Kyle played college tennis at Greensboro College for three years. He played #2, and 3 singles and #1 doubles while on the team, he also won MVP of his team two different years.

            While in college, Kyle ran his own tennis camp for two years back in Pinehurst over the summer. Kyle has now been a member of the GTP staff for four years now. His favorite part about GTP is the soul focus on development of the player both as a tennis player and as a person. Kyle co-runs the 12 and under Junior Elite Program and is the competetion coordinator for GTP.

Zach Passman- Junior Elite Director

Zach played 4 years of tennis at Ridgefield High School in Connecticut and served as a captain his senior year. Zach was ranked top 25 in the state for 16’s and 18’s. He then went on to play #1 singles and doubles for Ithaca College and Greensboro College.

            Zach started teaching when he was 14 years old. He taught tennis as an assistant for Weston Field Club, Redding Country Club and Lakeside Field Club. He also worked for Home Court Advantage as a teaching pro. Zach has been working at GTP for three years now. His favorite part about GTP is working with the younger juniors and really seeing them develop skills and grow on and off the court. Zach co-runs the Junior Elite Program and works with a lot of young juniors 6-11. He also works with some adults and teaches adult clinic for GTP.
