GTP Players Compete in three different ITF Tournaments in October
GTP players have recently started to compete in ITF (International Tennis Federation) Tournaments. In the beginning of October 5 GTP players competed in the Grade 4 Charlotte ITF. Carolyn Ansari and Boyneni Keenan advance to the main Draw of the tournament, winning two matches in the qualifying round. Peyton Gatti and Amber Fuller both won their first round qualifying matches.
Two Weeks Later GTP had more player’s competeting in another Grade 4 ITF. Amber Fuller was the only player to make the main draw. She won two matches in the qualifying rounds to advance to the main draw. Emmy Brandow also won her first round of qualifying!
The last week of October the ICY HOT Southern Level 2 BG 12’s and 14’s took place. Brianna Baldi in the Girl’s 14’s Brianna Baldi won 3 singles matches, her two losses in the tournament came to the #1 and #2 seed, both in 3rd set breakers. In Girl’s 12’s Amelie Gonzalez won 4 straight matches in the consolation bracket before falling in a 3rd set breaker in Finals. Victoria Mann won two matches in the consolation draw and lost her last match in a 3rd set breaker. Andrea Chacon also won 2 matches. In the ICY HOT in Mobile, Alabama two weeks earlier, Andrea earned 5th/6th place in singles and 3rd place in doubles.
